Book 1
Avatar: The Last Airbender is about a kid named Aang who is a exceptional air nomad. He became a master when he was only 12 years old. One day his people tell him he is the Avatar the one who connects all 4 elements and that he can never have a family. That is when he runs away where he is overtaken by a storm that freezes him at the bottom of a river until he is uncovered by two siblings from the Southern water nation tribe. Katara a water bender and Sokka her older brother a warrior. When they find out he is the Avatar they decide to help him learn everything he is suplosed to learn to try and stop the Fire Nation who is slowly gaining more power after wiping out the Air Nomads and making them extinct. Also the Fire Nation is hunting Aang trying to destroy the Avatar. Along the way Katara becomes Aang's water bending teacher and he and her learn the same stuff until they make it to the Northern Water Tribe who makes them Waterbending masters after some reluctancy to teach a girl they finally get in the hang of things and Katara becomes the first female water bending master. When they are attacked by the Fire Nation Aang finally accepts who he really is and agrees to be this worlds Avatar and save then from the Fire Nation.
Book 2
When Aang, Katara, and Sokka go looking for a Earth bending teacher for Aang they come across a blind Earth bender named Toph Beifong who is better than the others. This is because she is taught by the original Earth benders. Aleo because instead of using her eyes to see she uses her feet to through the ground. As they Aang is learning from Toph he is also being chased by the Fire Nation most importantly the Prince Zuko and Princess Azula. Who are enemies who are chasing them separately. As they are getting closer so is the time to save the world as they know it.
Book 3
Aang is searching for a teacher for fire and when Zuko their nemesis who has been chasing them and trying to catch Aang the entire time tries to join the group. They reluctantly let him keeping a close eye on him, as he grows to be a closer more trusted friend they realize their 2 true enemies are Azula and General Ozai the ones making the commands. What happens in the end will not spoil.
This show also has a sequel called Legends of Korra about the Avatar comes after Aang. Now that I am older I appreciate Legends of Korra, not for being a more dramatic version show. Legends of Korra has the teenage drama of a highschool. Like Euphoria. Meanwhile Avatar: The Last Airbender was more laidback and focused on their journey.
